weekend outing + FOTD + OOTD

**Gosh this post has been seating in "Draft" for almost a week.. hahah, my bad**

I had a great date outing last weekend! Went on a full day date, well, not a full day to be exact, but it started off with tea at LeVain Boulangerie Patisserie at Jalan Delima, KL. I cant give you the directions as I don't really know how to get there myself too. haha. Anyway, this place is just so romantic and a perfect place to bring your date to. Not to mention with all the pastries and beautiful delicious looking cakes. They tasted really heavenly too. I would starve myself the next time before I get there so I can try as many different cakes as I want. Enjoy the pics of some yummies we had. There were four of us that day and boy we sat there for so long eating and laughing the day off! =)

The place, the ambience, how cozy, how romantic.. ^.^

The Balcony, too bad the upper level section is closed.

Imma bad food blogger.. i'm so sorry that I've forgotten the names of these delicious tempting helpings :P

After tea, I was supposed to catch Sex and the City 2 but unfortunately for me and lucky somebody, we watched Toy Story 3 instead. It was a great movie after all, SATC another time then, hahs!

The next thing you know, we went for food again, I felt like a glutton the whole day to be honest. Luckily I was wearing a dress, at least I don't feel my waist area getting tighter and tigher. :P
Anyway, we went to this Japanese place in Pavillion - Ichiban Boshi and boy, all I remember about that place was those funny and blur waiters/ sushi makers. Overall food was great, the chair/ couch was great (they made us sit on a 2-seat couch that I cant really pull when I need to get nearer to the bar table =.=''.... but it was kinda cozy though *smiles*), and waiters were making alot of noise near our seat. I couldn't help but had a little laugh by myself.

must have - salmon sashimi, oiishi~~

And now, time for FOTD + OOTD.  *wink*
my outfit of the day. I was in the mood to dress up and I picked my purple chiffon hem little dress that I hardly wear. Haha. Felt really like a girl that day but I still want to keep my 'edgy' style and therefore I paired it with a pair of black leggings + my 'Christian Louboutin inspired' black oxford boots + black big buckle belt.

heavy smokes

I did this look for a photoshoot early this year.
Take a look *wink*

Imagine this look with a dark fedora hat, high-waisted long black formal pants and buttons down long sleeves crisp white shirt. Oh, and my hair was tied up too.
Complete the whole look with a cigar in between 2 fingers. =D

A closer look of the eye makeup. Mascara is kept to the minimal as we're trying to make the whole look to have a more masculine feel. This was also my first time doing such a heavy smokey eyes look.
I don't know if I could go out to the public with these eyes. LOL.
Maybe I'm just a shy girl =P

Anyway, I only use these to get the look:
  • Urban Decay Primer Potion
  • Sweetscents Mineral Pigment - Autumn Masterpiece
  • MAC Pigment - Museum Bronze
  • NYX Single Eyeshadow - Golden Bronze
  • NYX Single Eyeshadow - Black

hair trim + FOTN

Happy Chinese New Year to all who are celebrating it!
Pheww.. was really busy with work right before I head off for CNY holidays and I just got back in town a few days ago after spending the delightful CNY with my family and relatives in Penang. =)

Anyway, I got myself a haircut, well to be exact, it was just a trim, really and I dyed my hair all over again. Had this just in time for the Lunar New Year. It's kind of a tradition for us to cut our hair when it's new year. I still don't really know the real reason behind this but sometimes we just have to please our mums, right? :P

My before haircut picture

My after haircut + color picture
*I know there's not much diffrent but the haircolor is more vibrant in real life*
& FOTN for a drinking session with some friends in the pub.

Close up of the eyes and highlighted cheekbones.

I wanted to try out a "dirty old bronze/ gold" look that night. I guessed that I could make it a little smokey more the next time with some black eyeshadow on the outer "V". Didn't wanna look so outstanding that night since it's just a casual drinking session with no intentions of attracting any guys :P

Anyway, I used:
  • UDPP
  • In2it Foam Eyeshadow - Beach (a Malaysian brand i think?)
  • MAC pigment - Copperized
  • NYX eyeshadow - Golden Bronze
  • MAC powerpoint eyeliner - Black
  • Majolica Majorca Lash Expander
  • Shu Uemura Crayon Eyeshadow
  • ELF Golden Bronzer - Highlighther shade on the cheekbones right below the eye sockets
Oh ya, btw, I'm also wearing the Circle lens model Fresh Brown. =)

OOTD + FOTD + new club "The Opera"

What's the first thing that comes to your mind when you hear a club with the name, The Opera?
Hahahs. For a moment, I thought it's gonna be some theather like club where there's a huge stage with big red curtains and of course, performances or maybe some acting? LOL! I thought of Phantom of the Opera too.. the man with the mask "I think his name was, Erik?" And I remembered I was asking my roommate, who happens to work under the company that owns the club, "Isn't that weird?"

So.. I went to check out the newly launched club in town with a bunch of friends. I had to work overtime that night too, which resulted in going to the club with bad hair + i-am-in-a-rush makeup. Anyway, this was my look that night. =)

That was actually my friend's fedora I was posing with. I still cant get to find the one that I want till now..
A quick one here on what I used on my face.

- Lunasol Control Makeup Base
- Lunasol Water Cream Foundation
- Majolica Majorca Pore Cover Powder
- ELF Golden Bronzer - highlight & contour shade
- Coffret D'or Blush - BE15
- Too Faced Shadow Insurance - *a must if you're going to a club*
- MAC pigment - Copperized
- KATE Gel Eyeliner  - Black
- Majolica Majorca Lash Expander mascara *I don't have time to curl my lashes that night.. resulting in not so nice and not so long lashes.. =( *
- NYX Round Lipstick - TeaRose *my lipstick gone from my lips in this picture. I think that was after drinking some beers*

Anyway, back to the club, there are all together 4 floors with different concepts where the 1st and 3rd floor (dance & stunts) are interconnected and the 2nd floor is kinda hidden and quiet. Suitable for intimate dates imho. Haha. While the 4th floor is the rooftop kind of bar.. something like LunaBar or Skybar.

I still don't really get it on why so many people keep saying that the place sucks. Well, for me, it's decent enough as a place to chill and drink with some close friends.  Maybe not so much of dancing as there's no dance floor around. And yea, I have to admit that the performances *chinese acrobats - plates balancing, body balancing, hoops, ropes, etc* were kinda weird though. I thought there'll be continuous stunts the whole night, well maybe not the whole night but during the happy hours? But every stunt lasted for about 5-10 minutes every 30minute-1hour. Hmmm...

Some of our pics that night:

I think I might go back again just to chill with some very close friends =)

FOTD - Jazz with Sharizan (again, :P)

I did a soft smokey look for a night out for jazz with Sharizan in Alexis, Jalan Ampang KL last night.
Sharizan was again as awesome and there were more good looking guys in his band this time around! haha.
For those who wants to know more about Sharizan (Malaysia's King of Swing & Jazz), goto Sharizan

I was in quite a hurry yesterday night as I went out for shopping from morning till the evening and I forgot to line my eyes. >.<

Face
Majolica Majorca Skin Lingerie
Skin79 BB Cream
ELF Complexion Perfection
ELF Golden Bronzer  - hope i can review this asap coz it's great! =)

Eyes
Shiseido Crayon Eyebrow pencil - auburn
Too Faced Shadow Insurance
Coffret D'or CM Eyes 01 (used Beige and Dark Brown)
Majolica Majorca Lash Expander Mascara

Lips
NYX Round Lipstick - Iris
Coffret D'or Lipgloss - PK01

I've also adapted a new way of applying foundation with a brush, which I hope I can do another separate post on it. This way gives the air-brush effect and I think skin looks more polished and dewy. Plus, with highlighting tricks here and there, your face will seriously glow! :D

This picture shows better with my highlighting jobs done on the nose bridge and my cheek bones. I've also used the darkest shade of the Bronzer on my jaw lines. By this, your face will appear more "in shape" haha.

During the day, I was even lazier. I went out with my BB cream on, Coastal Scents gel eyeliner (which smudged on me again and I was really really disappointed at it) and Tea Rose lipstick. And, it was a good hair day too. =)
This was my FOTD.

Vivi inspired look

After reading a number of ViVi magazines, I'm totally amused by the famous Taiwanese / Japanese Gyaru look. Really girly, kawaii and innocent looking. hahahha. This is not a look that I'll go for normally. But anyhow, I was so inspired that I tried to achieve that kinda look. Tell me I don't look retarded here. LoL

I felt funny as I did this look after I came back from a lunch date with my dearest GG friend. =)
*Oh, why don't I just go out looking like this? Well, I think it might scared the shit out of him* HAHAAH

Anyway, the makeup items that helped alot here are:

Face
  • Majolica Majorca Skin Lingerie
  • L'egere BB Cream
  • Everyday Mineral Loose Powder
  • Coffret D'or Blusher - Pink

  • NYX eyeshadows - Copper Brown, Champagne, Cottage Cheese
  • Kate Gel eyeliner - Black

cant wait for xmas

Window shopping in Pavillion is depressing. Shrugs.
Went into Prada hoping to see and feel the new "scallop" wallet but too bad, M'sia is a little slow in getting all the new stock. Same goes for cosmetics as well. =/
While walking around with all the beautiful decorations, I seriously feel that Xmas is so so so near.. can't wait for get-together and more gifts exchange! =)

Anyway, this is a swatch of the Coffret D'or Shine Drape Rouge (Glow) Lipstick in OR-102. It's more of a dark reddish coral rather than a peachy coral to me.

I'm all Coffret D'or look that day. Hahahs. The eyeshadow I was wearing was from the Coffret D'or Summer collection '09 - CM Eyes Orange-Brown mix. However, I  used only 2 colors at this time which is the light beige and dark brown at the crease. Not too smoky for a day's look right? =)

Cant wait for Christmas to arrive. I can sense that it would be a joyous and beautiful christmas this year, full of love *smiles*
