Dinner in ZEN Japanese Restaurant

I just came back from a sumptuous dinner and I can't wait to share the good stuffs!

Over the months or maybe years, I've heard from lots of people's recommendations that this place is great for the food, and finally, I managed to find the time to get there (sunway) for dinner.

The place is located near Kim Gary or the bar/club, and it's where you have to take the escalator up to another floor. It's quite a small place yet cozy and the ambience's great. Good service from the waitresses and waiters too.

The menu is so huge that it slipped off from my tiny hands once. I was so eagered to flip and flip and off the menu from me. Hehehs. I can say it's quite a huge variations you can choose from the menu. I thought of trying each and everything in it! Thank goodness for the english explanation beneath each name of food in japanese.

The first thing that I know I have to order is.. of course, the Salmon Sashimi! The dish came in 7 fat pieces of salmon and it costs RM20 only. I would say it's very worthy as the portion is huge and fresh and juicy. *yum yums*

*slurpsss *

*yumsS*

The other food that we ordered:

Clockwise: Ebitan Tobiko spider roll, spicy salmon handroll, ebiko and tako sushi (my classic 'must have') & Kani Chawanmushi (shark fin + crab meat)

The spider roll here is not something to shout about, but it is up to the quality and taste, while the sushis came in smaller sizes compared to other Japanese restaurants and for once, I can fit the whole sushi into my mouth at one go. The Tako is so delicious and Fresh. Trust me in this as I've tried tako in various places. =P

Something that I would to shout out here is actually the Kani Chawanmushi (shark fin + crab meat + mushi). First spoonful and I can't stop having another spoonful. Maybe that's also because this is the first dish that came to my hungry stomach. But what I'm trying to say is, this is excellent! Same for the temakis. :D

Sushi + Unagi Zen set & SALMON sashimi!!

I have to confess that I 'hate' Unagi.. or to put it nicely, I normally will not order anything with Unagi as I've bad experience with a bad Unagi before. So today, I faced with my own fear. haha. To my suprise, it's not so bad after all, in fact, it turned out really good and I can actually finish a whole fillet! This whole Unagi set came together with 7 different sushis that I normally don't eat, but it's a good thing as I get to taste them. The sushis were satisfying and their sashimis were very fresh too.

Overall, it was a great dinner. Will go back to try some other food next time although price wise it's above the average.

After dinner, I saw and bought this from the store next to the restaurant. I missed it..

Spa with Natio

After a whole tiring day of shopping in KL that makes me sulk because I can't really get to buy anything I really like, I went home with aching feet and a grey cloud on top of my head.
So... I decided to retreat myself with the DIY Ayurvedic Spa with Natio!
*more on Ayurveda/ Ayurvedic here

I got this Natio DIY Home SPA pack back in Christmas and yesterday night (Sat) is the first time I opened and actually used it. *smile*

---------------------------
The process begins with..

- splashing the whole body with the shower.

- take small amount of the salt and massage onto parts of the skin in a circular motion for one minute. btw, it's called the "One Minute Miracle Body Polish".
It contains sea salt, sesame, ginger and lemon. Smells very lemongrassy tho..

- use this to massage your body.

- finish the process Continue by cleansing your body with the Pep-Up Body Cleanser, which smells of lemongrass and refreshing. I am imagining myself in an open-bath with wooden & stones deco, plus with the invigorating aromas of peppermint, eucalyptus, lemongrass and basil to uplift my senses.

- finish up the process by massaging the Luminous Body Lotion onto the whole body. It's a perfect moisturizer before you go to bed. It contains sweet almond, sesame, lemon and lavender. Love the smell alot!

For the face, i cleansed, exfoliated and put on a mask to sleep..
Felt so clean and fresh and relaxed. =)

happy friday

Friday, the 2nd 13th of the year, 2009
I'm so blur, it's not the 13th yet. It should be - "Friday, 6th March 2009."

Though we were made to believe that Friday the 13th, is a no good day, or a bad day, I think it was a happy day for me! :D
Okay, so it was a Happy day for me.. =P

At work..
I'm grateful and happy when I was assigned to a new project so soon. Some people get to sit in the office for 3 months before getting any project, or some, might be sitting in the office for months. So, why is Friday such a happy day? I get to solve 2 major problems in our requirements in the SAP system we're configuring! =)
*i know this might be kacang for some people, but i'm proud of myself just with this little achievement!*

Come lunch...
"The healthy bear" recommended us to go for Italian food for lunch in Damansara Mutiara, which actually is in Metropolitan Square, Damansara Perdana. However, we end up walking to and fro the row of shop lots for 3 times looking for the restaurant (that has gotten the name changed, and he didn't know about it, and he claimed that it has disappeared) and we finally settled for another nice ambience restaurant - Deutsches Gasthaus 3.

It seems that this place has not recovered from the last October Fest yet with all the deco & posters. Beer Lovers, this is the place to be!
Food was pretty slow to be served and we almost wanted to bang the table and chant "we want food! we want food!"
Prior to that thought, our pumpkin soup came.. heheh. Long live Pumpkin!

The restaurant & its deco

My Calamansi juice & cutleries

my unappetizing Seafood Tortellini - looking like an Italian version of wantans. Not so tasty, and as my fellow colleagues felt sorry for me, each of them gave me a little something of their own to taste. :)

garlic bread
.

Hawaiian chicken - Love the sauce and the pineapple! thumbs up!
.

Fish fillet- nice sauce too, a little spicy.
.
Fish fillet Risotto - not so tasty.. hehe

After work & dinner in The Gardens...
Went to Paddingtons Pancakes again.. i like!
p/s: i saw a gay couple (the waiters) grabbing and rubbing each other whenever they get the chance and i get to steal a couple of glances on their actions.

Seafood Marinara pie

Grilled Lamb

After dinner... WATCHMEN!!!
Gosh, this is the first time I watched a movie in GSC The Gardens. I didn't know the ticket price is double the normal GSC outlet and it's not even the GOLD class tix. Hmm.. Well, all the seats in the cinema I went in are actually couple seats and you actually get a blanket service too. Not too bad for the price lar.. Hahahs..

The movie..

I personally like this picture of the older batch of Watchmen alot..
I'm not sure how to write a review on this movie. I have mixed feelings for it - some parts are pretty boring, some parts are very meaningful, some parts are action - packed. I was quite confused with the storyline from the beginning till almost the end. I was totally bewildered by the opening of the movie not knowing and not understanding what was it about..I think the story is full of digressions and confusing narrations. Perhaps, that's because I have not read the comic nor saw the cartoon and I have no idea on what Watchmen is all about before this.. However, the ending was the part that I like the most as that's also the part that I finally get the meaning of it. :S
But overall, the actions are considered great.
