i ♥ Majolica Majorca lash expander

it's my 3rd tube of Majolica Majorca Lash Expander mascara and i just have to declare my  ♥  for it!

i guess that i am just a loyal fan and it's a "must have" in my cosmetics pouch.

also, i seldom buy the same product again and again because there are too many products out there waiting to be 

tried. however, it seems like this is an exception. :)

Majolica Majorca came out with a newer improved version of their old Skin Lingerie. The new one somehow has the additional "Pore Cover" to it's name. Oh, it also claimed to have SPF20 PA+

The older version works fine for me at the beginning or should I say for the first half of the bottle.

Somehow, I do not know why, when the product run low, the quality dropped too. I was sad at that time as my first impression on it was, "it really does control oil and make my makeup stay matte for at least until the end of office hour, which was considered to be good." However, that is not the case anymore when the product came to about about 20% of the bottle. *I'm still wondering why though.. maybe it's just that my skin has become oilier?*

Anyway, I got myself the improved version - Skin Lingerie Pore Cover around last weekend and I've used it for a few times by now.

Product description:
"Makeup base that instantaneously creates smooth skin by concealing those pesky open pores and red cheeks"

My verdict, I think this is slightly better than the older version. This comes with SPF20 PA+ and it gives a little coverage unlike the older version which was translucent. I guess this very much depends on each's preference though.

And, the most important question, "Does it really cover pores?"

My answer: "Slightly."

I would say it does cover pores, but it doesn't really make my makeup last that long for me. Especially on the nose area. :(
Oil control wise, I would rate it 3.5/5.

HG mascara - Majolica Majorca Lash Expander

I have to say this, one of my favourite mascaras of all has to be this precious Majolica Majorca Lash Expander Frame Plus. I have been using this since last year and I've restocked my second tube just last week again =)

Why I love this mascara so much... well, let's let the picture do all the talking, shall we?

From my experiences of using this particular superb mascara, I've realized that there are some certain tips or tricks that one should note while using this mascara. Else, you might not have use it to it's fullest advantage and end up not liking it so much or doubting it by "what's so great bout it?". hahahahs.

Well, allow me to share some tricks for you to get the best out of this product by these simple steps:

- curl up ur lashes by using an eyelash curler

- *optional (good to have)* apply eyelash base (the "white color mascara")

- apply the first coat with the "backbone" of the mascara wand from the root of your lashes to the tip.

  This is to "push" the lashes up and strengthen the roots and keeps the lashes sky high all the time. =)

- apply the second coat with the front part of the mascara wand with "zig-zag" movement and while u're reaching the tip of the lashes, pull up the mascara wand in a way of pulling the lashes to lenghten them.

- wait for ~5-10 seconds for the mascara to dry up and apply another coat. (best if you have an eyelash heater  this will heat up the mascara applied and the lashes' curl will last longer)

- and you'll end up with great looking lashes after that! ^.^

Apart from reviewing this mascara, I've also done a FOTN where this is how I look like when I was heading out for a farewell + birthday dinner of a friend in TGI Fridays.

Okay, I think it's dangerous when I have lots of time to spend in the shopping mall waiting for someone.
What is wrong with me??
The other day, I went to some pharmacies in MidV hoping to restock my tea tree oil and also with the thought of getting the HadaLabo moisturizer lotion. Unfortunately, I couldn't find the HadaLabo there which I only get to know that it will be launched in Nov at night after that. And, I bought some extra things home with me. Also, I've spent more than what I've expected. I hated myself for awhile then...


So, there, I bought Garnier AquaDefense Gel moisturizer as the susbstitute for the HadaLabo lotion that I didnt managed to get, Majolica Majorca Skin Lingerie and the Pore Cover Press Powder.

I've tried them on for a few days and my verdicts are:

Garnier AquaDefense Gel moisturizer:

To be honest, I didn't expect much from this brand at all after my not so good experience with the Garnier Light moisturizer (yellow tub). However, this gel moisturizer really exceeded my expectations. It felt light and cooling on the skin. Not leaving any greasy or oily substance at all. Perfect for Day/ morning usage before my makeup base or foundation. It's cheap and it's good. =)

Majorlica Majorca Skin Lingerie (my star BUY!)

I didn't know what was this until I read a review in one of the beauty blogs out there about this. Well, thanks to the creative name and my dull imaginations, I couldn't figure out what was this thing for. Haha... Come to think of it... yes, it is a skin lingerie... it's the layer that covers and protects the skin, just like our lingerie. hahahahs.

Well, this skin lingerie is actually a face primer or a makeup base. You apply it to the face right before the application of your daily foundation or powder. This one here works well on me. It's even better than my Lunasol Control MakeupBase I think. My t-zone stays matte till the end of office hour and this simply makes me happier than usual. A must buy me thinks.

Majorlica Majorca Pore Cover press powder

Why did I purchase this thing here? Well, I was thinking of getting myself some loose powder or setting powder to set the face after applying the foundation as my face mineral powder is running low. I ended up getting this after the comparison of all the brands I can find in Watsons. True, this is also the most expensive of all... but, also the finest powder of all.

After the application, skin looks flawless and nice and smooth. However, I think my skin really dislikes powder. It just simply does not go well with powder, no matter how good the powder is. Even Lunasol Skin Fusing powder foundation is not good enough for it. It gets a little cakey around my laugh line around after lunch. Or is it just me? I just can't stand my face looking so matte? Hmmmm... well, it's true that I prefer my face to be dewy and appears more natural. ;)
