NYX single eyeshadow

The famous NYX single eyeshadow! Finally in my hands now. :D
The first 2 colors I'll be experimenting will be Matte Black and Golden Bronze.
I simply couldn't agree more with all the reviews in Makeupalley.com about these little gems.

Overall, the texture of the eyeshadow is seriously soft and very smooth to blend with. Color wise - very pigmented and just perfect. Price wise - cheap. Conclusion - you have to have it. At least one of those. Haha.

Black - it's matte and a true black. This is the blackest black eyeshadow I've seen. And very soft and smooth upon application too. Most of my black eyeshadows didn't turned out as black as I want or they were all really hard to be applied on. This one works great as an eyeliner too. Great for making smokey eyes too!

Golden Bronze - this is slightly shimmery and it's the "old gold" color that I've been looking for for so long. All along I've bought all the wrong gold. This one gives the right antique gold color which isn't too yellow nor too sparkly.

Etude House single eyeshadow

This is the Etude House's Petite Darling Eyes in Metal Silver (WH703). I would say this is my very first purchase from Etude House, haha. Etude House's a Korean brand but I havent read many reviews about this brand before, therefore it didn't really catch my eyes. Somehow, I was attracted to the big SALES signs and many discount signs screaming 50%, 30%, and 20%.

I think I got this one here for 20% less retail price and after discount, it's just way cheap that I was thinking twice or thrice.. or maybe a few minutes long on how many more should I get. Anyway, managed to control myself as I was not alone at that time. What an achievement here. hahahahs.

What I feel about this eyeshadow is, the color is really pretty and pigmented in real life! Different application gives kinda different look I think too. Color wasn't that intense when applied with an eyeshadow brush compared to by using your fingers. But do becareful as some of the glitter or shimmers I would say, will drop off. The texture's quite soft too to my surprise for this kinda price of eyeshadow. I simply think that this might be a steal. *wink*

Overall, very very cheap (RM7 or 8 - USD2?) and pretty decent quality. I might go back to get more colors. =)

A Review - Cellnique Skin Action Sebum Gel

First beauty post of the year - goes to Cellnique Skin Action Sebum Gel. :D

I think I've been using this product for a month plus after a friend told me that she could get it for me with 15% discount off the retail price. I thought, why not, since a few months ago my skin was really in a horrible state because of all the breakouts. I heard of this product many years ago and I thought it was for blackheads only. Well, after some research, and some reviews from friends and bloggers, I found out that it combats spots, acne, breakouts, whiteheads, and oily skin too! So, I thought this might be my skin saver.. *at least for now*

Anyway, after the first week of day and night applications, I see drastic changes on my skin. *I am not kidding* The used to be stubborn spots on the lower part of my cheeks and my chin were gone. The whiteheads on my chins and T-zone of my forehead that I religiously pull out everynight were gone too. Blackheads on my nose are hard to be spotted now. So basically, this sebum gel works well for me!
And after a week, I perform a light extraction on my face by myself, after a long break. *This is because I do extraction of whiteheads almost everynight*. I found out that some of the "pimples to be" spots were transformed into hard yellowish oil seeds and were easily pull off. I was so amazed and thrilled by this though. Hahaha.

Honestly, I do think that this is a great little bottle to invest in for spotless skin. I will definitely continue using it. And surprisingly enough, I didn't know that this brand actually came from my own country, Malaysia. =D

I don't think you can find this in any drugstore but I think you can either get it online via http://www.cellnique.com/ or any local Cellnique salons. I heard Sasa is carrying the sister brand of this too, B-liv and they claimed that the formulas are the same.

The best product and my skin saver for 2009 =)
